The Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) is an international nonprofit organization of nearly 800,000 members across the United States and Canada. Since our founding in 1898 in Seattle, Washington, we’ve been driven by a simple yet powerful mission:
“To make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness, and hope.”
Eagles are dedicated to serving our communities, supporting charitable causes, and providing a welcoming place for members to come together in friendship and purpose.
Our Legacy of Impact
The Eagles have been at the forefront of major social and charitable achievements for more than a century, including:
Establishing Mother’s Day as a national holiday
Advocating for Social Security to protect seniors
Funding medical research, including the $25 million Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa
Supporting research for heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, spinal cord injuries, and pediatric ailments
Providing educational and medical benefits for the children of Eagles who lose their lives while serving their country or at work through our Memorial Foundation
Eagles 2485 – Serving Kennewick and the Tri‑Cities
Our local chapter, Eagles Aerie 2485, is proud to continue this tradition of service here in the heart of Kennewick, Washington. We strive to support local causes, provide a gathering place for fellowship, and create opportunities for our members to make a real difference in our community.
Whether we’re hosting fundraising dinners, live music nights, or social gatherings, our goal is the same: People Helping People — right here at home.
